Nissan Juke
The Nissan Juke is a cross between a supermini and an SUV. A five door car, it is priced from £12,795 to £19,995.
There are three different engines available, a 1.6litre and 1.6litre turbo petrol and a 1.5litre diesel. Fuel consumption on the 1.6 is a reasonable 44.8mpg combined. The Nissan Juke is available in three trim levels; the entry level Visia 1.6 will achieve 0 to 60mph in 11 seconds with a maximum speed of 110mph. A decent range of extras is included, such as electric mirrors, front and rear electric windows, air conditioning, MP3 CD player, front and side airbags plus alloy wheels.
The Acenta range also has Bluetooth connectivity, iPod socket, climate control and Nissan’s Dynamic Control System. The top of the range Tekna comes with satellite-navigation, leather trim and a reversing camera amongst other features. The top of the range Tekna is also available with the option of four-wheel drive in automatic.
The Nissan Juke is certainly a decent car to drive and the performance is good. It handles well, looks quite stylish, is good on safety and has a more than acceptable choice of extras. On the down side, it is not a particularly spacious car for passengers, especially in the rear and storage space is quite limited. Price wise it represents good value for money although the running costs will not suit anyone looking for a car to run on a budget.
